Mount Rushmore!

Today we went exploring and to see Mount Rushmore. We saw more Buffalo and a small young herd of Bighorn Sheep on our way out.
We took the scenic road, which was narrow with hairpin turns and traveled through several one-lane tunnels through stone but the views were breathtaking! Mount Rushmore was amazing and very interesting the way it was carved and the way it looked up close. We took the Iron Mountain Rd. there and the Needle highway back. Once at camp we hiked behind our campsite to the Lake and a deer crossed our path. We’re having a great time!
Rusty’s cookin’ steaks on the grill, as I type. Thanks for all the comments too – makes this seem worthwhile.

  1. WOW!
These photos are fantastic! I'm sure the steaks were also great. You two are certainly building some terrific memories, and sharing with us is great!
    Please post more pic's!

  2. That's a terrific photo of Mount Rushmore! Did you take it, or did you photograph a postcard? Here are some more pics, including the not-so-famous rear view of Mount Rusmore.

(See what I did there, inserting the links? My sister taught me how to do that.)
